The beginnings of my work are inserted within the displacements of engraving, quickly deriving into objectual work, with a pronounced tendency towards the great scale and a careful studying of space. This later leads me to a profound analysis of the theory, imagery and symbolism of mirrors and specular symmetry, further incorporating texts that would reference this issue. The texts have acquired a leading role, turning into the primary matter of the works.

I have always taken words and the possibilities of their meaning to structure works in which meaning is found beyond of their simply visual character. My work is a reflection around words which often turns into a linguistic game.

It is a reflection on language, consisting in calling for a considerable material nature to appear in the works, submitting it thought to a kind of “objectification” process. This radical displacement of thought, from its supposed ideal internal nature towards the material nature of its expression, constitutes in itself a playful exercise, because ideas are part of the features and properties of the words that should serve only as a means of communication. It then turns out to be altered by the irony of objects, which seem not to just subvert the meaning of words, but at the same time to announce another “reading”, as if the matter of signs was the unnoticed flipside of meanings.
